Alexander Jaramillo · Filmmaker · Atlanta

I start with an empty room.

An arena before the doors open. A stage before the set goes up. A frame before anyone steps into it. For more than fifteen years the job has been the same: fill the space with something people believe in. I shoot and make films, and I produce live experiences at global scale.

I lead live event production for The Coca-Cola Company: the Olympic Games, the FIFA World Cup, March Madness. Empty venues, fixed doors-open times, and no second take. It is where I learned to plan for the failure before it happens.

Working with me

Prepared before day one

Shot list, schedule and budget are done before the stage clock starts, so the day goes to the work.

Paperwork without chasing

Insurance certificates, call sheets and deal memos arrive before you have to ask for them.

Calm when it breaks

Live broadcast leaves no room for panic. Every plan has a backup, and the crew knows it.

About

I picked up a camera because I wanted to make films.

Live production taught me the rest. Since 2012 I've built shows out of empty arenas, ballrooms and broadcast trucks, from music festivals to the World Series to the Olympic Games. Every one started as a space with nothing in it and a date it had to be ready.

A film set works the same way. You walk onto a dark stage, and a few days later there's a world on it that people believe. That is the work I want to do, and the reason this company exists.
